Met-Track® Rigid Rail Abseil Systems

Industrial rope access provides safe and efficient access for building inpsactions, maintenance and cleaning

Rope access is a form of work positioning, which applies practical ropework to allow workers to access difficult-to-reach locations without the use of scaffolding, cradles or an aerial work platform. Rope access technicians descend, ascend, and traverse ropes for access and work while suspended by their harness whilst connected to a fall protection anchor system.

Met-Track® Rigid Rail Abseil Systems provides such a facility from its range of steel and aluminium profiles. On buildings with the need to access facades, large curtain walled/glazed areas or non-load bearing panels, the installation of a Met-Track® Abseil system enables operatives to traverse quickly and efficiently between work places without the need for multiple rigging and derigging.

Our systems consist of a range of steel and aluminium sections that include either permanently installed or removable trolleys. Unlike standard abseil rails, which require users to shuffle between supports and then transfer past them, our track systems operate with free running trolleys providing ease of movement so necessary for working in these extreme conditions.

The Met-Track® Rigid Rail system comprises a permanently installed rigid anchorage rail and free running anchorage connectors housed within the enclosed profile. Available in either standard or reinforced configurations Met-Track® can be used for up to 3 users with supports of up to 8m.

For Architectural applications the Met-Track®s can be incorporated into the structural design allowing it to be concealed within areas such as the eaves of a building, ensuring that the overall aesthetics are intact.
